Arrive by 9am to secure your place.
Only 15 places are available.
Places depend on staff availability.
Classes are free for Latin American women beginners.
Timetable: Every Wednesday and Thursday from 10:45am - 12:45am
LAWRS also provides useful workshops, tranining sessions and talks for our members.

The Latin American Women’s Rights Service (LAWRS) is a charity which supports the immediate and long term needs of Latin American women migrants in the UK. Over 4,000 women use our services every year to benefit from practical and emotional support, to learn new skills and to improve their own opportunities.

LAWRS’ mission is to provide tools for growth to empower Latin American women in the UK to pursue personal and social change.

Our services (in Spanish and Portuguese) are free and confidential:
• Advice and casework on welfare rights, money & debt, housing.
• Advocacy, advice and prevention on violence against women.
• Psychotherapy for women survivors of violence, elder abuse and trauma.
• Information and development for the self-employed and entrepreneurs.
• Support in skills development, job applications and CV writing.
• Volunteering opportunities as a pathway to employment.
• Workshops and accredited ESOL classes; regular seminars on welfare; rights and women’s issues.
• Community awareness campaigns.

We’re open from Monday to Friday, 10am - 5pm.
Come and see us without an appointment at our drop-in sessions (Mondays, 9:30am).
LAWRS offices are wheelchair accessible, women-only and we offer childcare and a play area.

We focus on meeting the needs, both immediate and long term, of women affected by poverty and abuse.
We offer advice, advocacy, information and counselling services in a personalised, confidential and impartial manner. All our services are free and in Spanish and Portuguese.
