Make a donation

We rely on the generosity of our donors to make a difference in our community. You can make

a one-off or monthly donation to us, of whatever amount you consider appropriate. See how far even a small amount of money can go…

£10 could pay for two children to be looked after in our crèche service while their Mum receives vital support and assistance.

£25 could pay for a workshop for 15 women to develop leadership skills in their community

£50 could pay for 10 psychotherapy sessions to help women to overcome trauma and abuse

Running a marathon? Taking part in an event?

Name LAWRS as your chosen charity for sponsorship. We are not big enough to buy up places at sponsored marathons, but if your chosen event allows you to choose your own charity, please think of LAWRS. We have our own Justgiving account where you can set up your own fundraising page online for free. Donations and giftaid will go direct to the organisation.

Donate through your workplace

Most large companies have corporate social responsibility departments which sponsor charities. If you’re interested in helping LAWRS through your workplace, find out about your company’s payroll giving scheme, matched donations (where your company matches the donation you give to charity), nominated charities of the year, or employee volunteering.

Payroll Giving or Give As You Earn (GAYE) – Talk to your payroll department to see if you can contribute to charity. Donations are deducted from your gross pay (pre-tax), and the tax man meets part of your donation. Visit www.payrollgivingcentre.org.uk to tell your employer how to set up a scheme if you don’t have one.

Gifts in Kind

We gratefully accept unwanted or new items, such as: toys for the crèche; IT equipment or office furniture. We do not have our own transport to be able to collect items. Contact us if you’d like to make a donation.

LAWRS’ mission is to provide tools for growth to empower Latin American women in the UK to pursue personal and social change.

We focus on meeting the needs, both immediate and long term, of women affected by poverty and abuse.

We offer advice, advocacy, information and counselling services in a personalised, confidential and impartial manner. All our services are free and in Spanish and Portuguese.
