The objective of this project is to increase and improve employment and educational opportunities for Latin-Americans women living in UK.
What do we offer? Personalized advice to assess your particular situation and find improved options. Information and guidance on creating your CV, cover letter and application to job opportunities and to prepare for job interviews; Information to guide your job search based on your skills, experiences and goals; ESOL English classes and access to Language Exchange Programme* to practice your English; Information about different websites and employment agencies to apply for job opportunities; Workshops, seminars and events to enhance the opportunities to develop your abilities; Information about courses and education institutions to develop new skills; Information about how to validate your professional title in the UK.
* Language Exchange Programme is an exchange of language (Spanish-English / English-Spanish) that allows you to learn and / or practice your English with a native speaker of the United Kingdom through face to face meetings.

Employment Project and Skills Development
What is it?
Latin American Women in the UK have little access to education and job opportunities. Most women in our community are forced to take jobs with low wages, job insecurity and long hours playing without being able to seek better working conditions.
Your Rights at work
LAWRS’ mission is to provide tools for growth to empower Latin American women in the UK to pursue personal and social change.
We focus on meeting the needs, both immediate and long term, of women affected by poverty and abuse.
We offer advice, advocacy, information and counselling services in a personalised, confidential and impartial manner. All our services are free and in Spanish and Portuguese.
