What is it about?

The goal of this project is to increase and improve working and education opportunities for Latin American women.

What can we offer?

 

Personalised assesment, evaluating your particular circumstances to look for better employment opportunities.

Information and guidance to write a CV, covering letters and applications for job opportunities. Preparation for job interviews. ESOL English classes and access to the language exchange programme to practice your english. Information on internet sites and employment agencies to apply for jobs. Workshops, seminars and events to develop your skills. Information on educational institutions and courses.Information on how to validate your professional degree in the UK.

The Language Exchange Programme (English-Spanish/ Spanish-English) helps you learn or practice English with a native speaker through one to one meetings. If you would like more information about this programme, contact the Programme Coordinator, Belen.

LAWRS’ mission is to provide tools for growth to empower Latin American women in the UK to pursue personal and social change.

We focus on meeting the needs, both immediate and long term, of women affected by poverty and abuse.

We offer advice, advocacy, information and counselling services in a personalised, confidential and impartial manner. All our services are free and in Spanish and Portuguese.

Our clients can get advice without appointment every MONDAY from 10 am to 1pm.

LAWRS also provides useful workshops, tranining sessions and talks for our users and members as a way of supporting our advice and guidance services and they are all FREE
