Training and Development Officer (Violence Against Women and Girls) – Job Description
21 hours per week
Salary: £28,100 per year – pro rata
Fixed term: 2 years

LAWRS’ Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) prevention and development team develops and delivers specialist training for professionals of  statutory agencies, voluntary organisations, and other relevant stakeholders with the aim of influencing better responses and improved support for Latin American and other migrant women survivors of VAWG. The VAWG team also carries out outreach, community engagement, and prevention work within the Latin American community.

The post holder will coordinate an exciting new project led by LAWRS and carried out in partnership with Independent Workers of Great Britain (IWGB) and United Voices of the World (UVW), two fast-growing grassroots unions representing migrant women workers in precarious employment.

You will be responsible for developing and delivering high quality bespoke training and informative material on VAWG, with a particular focus on sexual harassment, and for supporting the unions in the development of policies and procedures to prevent and respond to VAWG and sexual harassment at the workplace.

Administrator and Finance Officer (Job Description)

21 hours per week (with possibilities of extension)

Salary: £26,000 per year – pro rata

Fixed term: 1 year

The Latin American Women’s Rights Service (LAWRS) is a human rights, feminist organisation led by and for Latin American migrant women in the UK. Our work is dedicated to support the immediate and long-term needs of Latin American migrant women exposed to violations of their fundamental human rights; facing violence against women and girls, exploitation or trafficking; enduring difficult living and working conditions in low paid jobs, and facing barriers to social protection.

The Administrator and Finance Officer provides both clerical and administrative support to LAWRS team on a day-to-day basis. This post holder will be involved in the coordination and implementation of office procedures and will have responsibility for specific project activities and tasks as needed.
