Training and Development Officer
Part time: 21 hours per week
Salary: £27,000 pro rata

We are seeking a highly-motivated Latin American woman who is committed to social change to join our team as Training and Development Officer.

The Training and Development Officer will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality bespoke training and informative material on VAWG, with a particular focus on sexual harassment, and for supporting the unions in the development of policies and procedures to prevent and respond to VAWG and sexual harassment at the workplace; assisting in the successful coordination and implementation of different projects, and contributing to developing LAWRS’ services and areas of work according to its development strategy.

The main duties of this post include:

  1. To develop bespoke training packages and informative materials about VAWG, including specific strands (e.g. sexual harassment, VAWG prevention in young people, harmful practices, etc.).
  2. To lead the project on sexual harassment in the workplace carried out in partnership with IWGB (Independent Workers of Great Britain) and UVW (United Voices of the World).
  3. Support the Development Manager in designing, implementing and overseeing the smooth running of LAWRS Training and Development plans.

You will have an excellent command of English and Spanish or Portuguese.

Development Manager
Part time: 21 hours per week
Salary: £35,700 pro rata

LAWRS Development Team reflects changing approaches to workplace learning and considers the skills needed for the future as part of individual and organisational development plans. It delivers high quality bespoke training and informative material on Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) strands, including Harmful Practices and sexual harassment, equipping trainees with the knowledge, practical skills and motivation to carry out their work activities effectively. LAWRS also carries out outreach activities, community engagement, presentations within community settings and group work sessions for Latin American women.

The Development Manager will work closely with the Director and Operations Manager to further develop, plan and implement LAWRS’ development strategy, ensuring the sustainability of the organisation and its ability to continue successfully reaching its aims whilst maintaining the excellent quality of its services.

The post holder will devise a strategic training and development plan for the organisation and implement it in accordance to business and operational plans, policies, procedures, audit requirements, accreditations and quality standards, and cross-team working needs.
