The Latin American Women’s Rights Service (LAWRS) is a human rights, feminist organisation led by and for Latin American migrant women in the UK. Our work is dedicated to support the immediate and long-term needs of Latin American migrant women exposed to violations of their fundamental human rights; facing violence against women and girls, exploitation or trafficking; enduring difficult living and working conditions in low paid jobs, and facing barriers to social protection.

We are recruiting a Director, a key position for our well established Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) specialist organisation. The ideal candidate will have: exceptional leadership skills to steer our strong, committed, and skilled team; highly developed staff management, financial, organisational and fund-raising skills; a track record in developing and implementing strategy; thorough understanding of the needs of Latin American and migrant women in the UK and strong communications, influencing and negotiating skills. Fluency in Spanish and English, or Portuguese and English is essential.

Our work is dedicated to support the immediate and long-term needs of Latin American migrant women exposed to violations of their fundamental human rights; facing violence against women and girls, exploitation or trafficking; enduring difficult living and working conditions in low paid jobs, and facing barriers to social protection.

The Policy and Communications Coordinator – VAWG will be responsible for continuing developing and implementing LAWRS’ policy, advocacy and communications strategy in the area of violence against women and girls (VAWG). The post holder will have the exciting role of leading our successful Step Up Migrant Women campaign and coalition, which focuses on influencing the Domestic Violence and Abuse Bill, as well as local responses to migrant women facing VAWG.

Our work is dedicated to support the immediate and long-term needs of Latin American migrant women exposed to violations of their fundamental human rights; facing violence against women and girls, exploitation or trafficking; enduring difficult living and working conditions in low paid jobs, and facing barriers to social protection.

This is a new post at LAWRS. The Fundraising and Development Officer will work closely with the senior management team to further develop, plan and implement LAWRS’ fundraising strategy, ensuring the sustainability of the organisation and its ability to continue successfully reaching its aims.
