The Latin American Women’s Rights Service (LAWRS) is recruiting for a Director which is a key position for our successful and rapidly growing organisation. The ideal candidate will have: exceptional leadership skills to steer our strong creative team; highly developed staff management, financial,

organisational and fund-raising skills; a track record in developing and implementing strategy; thorough understanding of the needs of Latin American and migrant women in the UK and strong communications, influencing and negotiating skills. Fluency in Spanish and English or Portuguese and English is essential.

Somos um grupo de organizações em Londres apoiando mulheres afetadas por abuso doméstico, sexual e outras formas de abuso contra mulheres e meninas. Estamos consternados com o enorme aumento de incidentes racistas revelados nos relatórios de nossas organizações durante a semana passada. Isto segue o voto de BREXIT no Reino Unido que parece ter dado credibilidade ao comportamento racista e sexista e ao abuso relacionadoa imigrantes. Estamos escrevendo para pedir a seus leitores, quem quer que seja, para se certificar de que alguem que enfrente o abuso  não fique  isolado ou sozinho –  mostre seu apoio, você informe o que está acontecendo com a polícia ou polícia de transporte. Seja ativo e não um  expectador. Através do silêncio concordamos com este comportamento. A  maioria em Londres que abomina o racismo e o sexismo e não quer isso em nossa cidade, e quer saudar a rica diversidade em Londres.
