This new report is the most comprehensive research to date of the Latin American community in the UK and was commissioned by Trust for London and the Latin American Women’s Rights Service. Produced by Queen Mary, University of London the report establishes the first robust estimate of the size of the community and explores a number of key economic and social features of the Latin American community in London.

Riots in London

I f you have been affected by the riots in London, it's normal to feel this way. It's important to remember you are not alone.

As Latin Americans we are familiar with many of the affected areas. These are areas in which we live, use services or have businesses. Contact us if you would like advice or to speak to someone who understands.

LAWRS can help you in different ways:
- with self-help groups for women affected by the riots

- with advice if you have lost your home; if you have been a victim of a robbery or attack and don’t know how to report it; or if you have lost your job or business;

- or with any other information you might need at this time.

LAWRS’ mission is to provide tools for growth to empower Latin American women in the UK to pursue personal and social change.

We focus on meeting the needs, both immediate and long term, of women affected by poverty and abuse.

We offer advice, advocacy, information and counselling services in a personalised, confidential and impartial manner. All our services are free and in Spanish and Portuguese.
