Carnaval del Pueblo
CDPA plans to run its 11th annual carnival, now a key, successful, growing safe event in London's cultural. It will comprise of the procession element (15-20) entries. The procession will leave City Hall at 12 noon and arrive at Burgess Park via Elephant and Castle and the Walworth Road at 3pm. A carnival of a main stage and Andean, Brazilian and Youth stages accompanied by 190 food, arts, crafts and publicity stalls will take place within Burgess Park, Chumleigh Gardens, Camberwell until 10pm. A public of some 150,000 is anticipated.
We are looking for volunteers to work as a Telemarketer to work alongside the Sponsorship Manager to win sponsorship deals to help fund this event.
Requisites:
- Ideally you will have previous selling experience and/or have an excellent telephone manner and be friendly and confident;
- Flexible;
- Adaptable;
- Willing to learn;
- Team player;
- Up to date computer skills.
Work will provide general assistance to the Sponsorship Manager with implementation of the Sponsorship Plan and you will consist of cold calling.
Volunteer can choose to work Monday to Sunday during the morning or the afternoon.You have to work minimun 12 hours per week.

Central American Women's Network
The Central America Women’s Network (CAWN) is a London based organisation that supports, publicises and learns from the struggles of women in Central America in the defence of their rights. CAWN works to increase awareness in the United Kingdom and Europe of violations of women’s human rights in Central America and supports the work of women’s organisations to end violence and discrimination against women in the region.

Child Rights Information Network
Child Rights Information Network (CRIN) is a global network coordinating and promoting information and action on child rights.
More than 2,000 member organisations 
and tens of thousands more activists from across the world rely on CRIN for research and information. CRIN's guiding framework is the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC).
CRIN coordinating unit office is based in London.
We are in need of volunteer translators to help ensure that crucial information and resources on children's rights are available in languages other than English. We are especially looking for Spanish and Portuguese speakers.

Children of the Andes (COTA) is a UK registered charity that provides support to Colombia’s most vulnerable- afected by poverty and violence- children by working in partnership with local NGOs.

IndoAmerican Refugee and Migrants Organisation (IRMO)
IRMO holds the Community Legal Service Quality Mark at General Help with Casework level. The Quality Mark is the official quality standard for advice services in the UK. IRMO is legally authorised (by OISC at level 2) to provide immigration advice and to assist with many types of immigration and asylum applications. All services are free, confidential and provided in Spanish and English.
IRMO provide advice and casework in:
- Immigration and asylum
- Welfare benefits
- Housing, education and health for refugees and asylum-seekers
- And basic advice in housing, education and health.
IRMO offer a service of volunteer interpreters, who can accompany service users to different appointments, such as medical appointments.

Sandblast Arts
Sandblast is a London based charity which works for the Saharawi cause through arts and support networks in the UK. Sandblast aims to stimulate cultural development, promote cultural exchange and understanding, generate opportunities to create links and work with other artists and display the work of the Saharawis.
